Roads & Bridges

The Hancock County Road Maintenance Department maintains all aspects of public road and bridge maintenance and construction within Hancock County. For efficiency, Road Maintenance is separated into two divisions: North and South. Road Maintenance also maintains street signage, drainage issues, grass mowing, striping, brush cutting, gravel road grading, vegetation management, paving, and bridge maintenance. The crew is on call 24 hours a day to remove or mitigate any other potential safety problem. DRAINAGE

****ATTENTION RESIDENTS OF JOURDAN RIVER OAKS SUBDIVISION OFF OF TEXAS FLAT ROAD****

Monday, March 20th contractors will start a drainage project in this area.  They will start on Pine Tree Drive and work their way out to Texas Flat Road changing out crossover culverts on each street.  One street at a time will be closed to change out the culverts until all are complet.

Please us caution throughout this area, and detour as needed. **as always this is a weather permitting project**

**ROAD CLOSURE**

Thursday, March 16th starting at 9:00AM Road 357 will be closed approximately 800 feet from Rockyhill-Dedeaux Road to replace crossover culverts.  As long as no issues occur, this project should only take a couple hours and will not interfere with school traffic. Please use caution in this area!!
