The Hancock County Veteran Services Office is a public resource for Veterans, Service Members, Surviving Spouses, and Veteran's Families that are residents of Mississippi. The primary objective of the Veteran Services Office is to assist all service members and their families in receiving all State and Federal benefits for which they are eligible. Our office achieves this objective by advising residents of their rights and entitlements under various federal and state statutes, assisting them by completing necessary eligibility forms, directing those forms to the proper agency, and assisting in submitting documents in support of VA claims.
The State of Mississippi offers multiple benefits which include, but are not limited to, Concealed Carry Permits benefits, Veteran Vanity License Plates, Burial Death Benefits, and much more. All State of Mississippi benefits must be approved by the Mississippi State Veterans Affairs Board.
Federal benefits include, but are not limited to, Compensation, Pension, Housebound Assistance, Disability Benefits, and Aid and Attendance. All benefits must be approved by the Department of Veterans Affairs. Please visit VA.gov for more information.
